MathCounts is a national math competition for middle school students.MathCounts is the most prestigious middle school math competition in the United States MathCounts competition has four levels: school, chapter (regional), state and national competitions. The last two levels are designed to challenge even the most advanced middle school students. 224 students attend the national competition which takes place in May. Sixth, seventh and eighth grade students coming from 56 U.S states and territories compete at the national level.
